Ireland’s largest bookmaker PaddyPower today announced it will be paying five places in the 2009 John Smith’s Grand National.

Last year’s Irish Grand National winner Hear The Echo remains inseparable from the JP McManus-owned Butler’s Cabin by the bookmaker in their Grand National betting.

Hear The Echo sprung a 33-1 surprise when romping home in the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National for Mouse Morris and Paddy Flood. Paddy Power have left the Michael O’Leary-owned 8-year old unchanged as their 14-1 joint-favourite as this year’s weights were released today.

Butler’s Cabin, who was travelling well when falling at the second Becher’s last year joins Hear The Echo at the top end of Paddy Power’s betting. Last year’s winner Comply Or Die is quoted at 18-1 with Powers.
