Run Bet72 Run

Well the fat lady has sung and the fat boy has run!

This was a fantastic event. 36,000 bodies, all shapes and sizes, a very uplifting and humbling experience at the same time, seeing people running for very personal reasons each with their own story to tell. That was the high point for me (and seeing the finishing line of course). The low point was being overtaken by a banana at the 3K mark! However I pulled it together and thanks to some fantastic support from all the crowds along the way I made it home in 56:50 (mins/secs not hours/mins) which is not bad as I have only been training again for just over a month.

10k

And more importantly we raised a decent sum for Rainbow Trust.

I am certainly up for more (running and raising) and if we can get the same support from all the bet72ers then we could even eclipse this times total, many, many, many thanks everyone. And of course another thank you to 888Sport and their £500 in free bets, a truly wonderful gesture.

So there we have it, what a month and an outstanding total even if I say so myself and all for a wonderful cause. We will keep the donation page up for a little longer so if anyone wants to donate then feel free.

Also this blogging exercise has inspired me to do more and I will carry on and show people just what they can achieve doing existing user offers. In fact I will be doing a extra special interactive version for the WorldCup where we can help everyone make £1K risk free over the course of the tournament so really looking forward to that.

So if you want to be part of that then get signed up at the bet72 membership site, www.betseventytwo.com and we will guide you every step of the way.

So here are the final scores on the doors……drum roll please……

Today’s Profit: £76.71

In case you haven’t a clue what all this is about…..read my previous ramblings below…..

Not long until 16th May now, c’mon everyone one last rallying cry for sponsors!!! Haven’t got a clue what I am talking about then read on…….

Well the head coach for Team GB has been on the phone and they are a little short of finely tuned athletes for 2012 so I have grabbed the trainers from their mothballs and am back in training.  When your country needs you and all that……

I have slotted into the new regime instantly, jogging to the pub and kebab shop at least twice a week so I am feeling the benefits already and my first event will be the Manchester 10K on 16th May.

This time around I have teamed up with another fantastic charity, the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and I really want to smash last year’s total, what the hell let’s go for the full £1K !

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow Trust’s Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide practical support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Plus to help boost the bank, I am doing a “risk free betting challenge”.  Starting on 13th April right up until race day, every penny I make from doing my own personal offers will be added to the pot.  You can follow this, right here where I will be blogging my bets and recording the profits I make.
