Eye of the Tiger Newbie Blog – 4th July

No time to do anything so we ended June on a still very respectable £135.92 profit and I am really starting to get in the swing of this now.

Unfortunatley I now must take 3 weeks off so I hope I don’t miss too much, managed to squeeze a couple of offers in before I left so we have now completed Betdaq and Gamebookers too (see the spreadsheet for details of the bets) and grown the profit pot to £176.82 , wow!

I will be back and placing bets again from the 25th so let’s see if we can get a few more in break £200 in July!

Total Profit: £176.92

A weekend away however more profits to report.

First up before we departed there was enough time to cash at Centrebet and get another qualifying bet on and we got back home in time to cash out on Sunday night.
So a weekend away and some risk free money, fantastic!

OK first we had the free £20 from Centrebet to get out, easily done with some Norwegian football (another geography lesson there!).

Brann v Aalesunds

Back Aalesunds at Centrebet with the free £20 at odds of 6.00
Lay Aalesunds at Betfair with £14.81 at odds of 6.80. This was an £85.90 liability with Betfair and netted us £14.07 profit.

Next on Darren’s list of recommended bookmakers was BetUK and a free £25 offer. These are actually part of the BetInternet group of companies
and when I could find BetUK on the Oddsmatcher list, selectiing BetInternet gave me the correct odds for all their options so that was no problem at all.

Just like the Betinternet offer you bet £50 at evens or higher and get a free £25 bet so this is what Oddsmatcher threw up…

England U21 v Sweden U21

Back England at BetUK with £50 at odds of 2.05
Lay England at Befaire with £49.52 at odds of 2.12. This was a £55.46 liability and secured the free £25 for a £2.96 loss

I returned home on Sunday evening to find England had drawn in 90 mins so the cash was over into Betfair (handy) and the free £25 had been credited so with the
Confederations Cup Final on I went for the following:

Back USA at BetUK with the free £25 at odds of 7.00
Lay USA at Betfair with £17.54 at odds of 8.60. This tied up £133.33 in Betfair, no problem as our last 3 bets have been losers so no need to top this up and it netted us a very nice £16.67 profit.

So with June coming to an end our profit stands at a very healthy looking £135.92, so let’s see if we can top the £150 barrier before the month is out!

Total Profit: £135.92

Well this was a first for me Tennis betting. I decided to take advantage (get it, Tennis, advantage, oh I am so funny), of the fact Roger Federer was playing and we had back and lay prices of 1.01 and 1.02 respectively. Bet72 says it doesn’t get any better than this so who am I to argue!

First up Centrebet and their free £20 offer

Back Federer with £20 at 1.01 at Centrebet
Lay Federer with £20.82 at 1.02 at Betfair. A crazy 42p (yes 42p) to cover the lay at Betfair, I like that!

So a free £20 for just a 22p loss and it was credited instantly, I like that even better!

And there was more, Coral and this beauty.

Back Federer with £10 at 1.01 at Coral
Lay Federer with £10.41 at 1.02 at Betfair. Now that one cost 21p (what??, yes 21p) to cover the lay at Betfair and the free bet was instantly credited and stake returned so I could, in theory back Federer again.

This had only cost 11p and I now had the free £10 credit. So I did the same again.

Back Federer with the free £10 at 1.01 at Coral
Lay Federer with £10.41 at 1.02 at Betfair. Another 21p to cover this, liablities in pennies this is great!

This was a £9.89 profit (£9.78 overall) and was all realised very quickly as Roger did the business as usual so this was all mine to withdraw that afternoon.

With the Betfair account topped up I decided to cash out the free £50 from Betfred first, then move onto Centrebet, I like to do these in order.

Spain v USA was the match and I fully expected Spain to coast it so

Back Draw with the free £50 at 5.50 at Betfred
Lay Draw with £35.43 at 6.40 at Betfair. This cost £191.34 to lay off and locked in a very tasty £33.66 profit.

The game wasn’t a draw I was right about that but it was the USA who won. That is why I like this risk free betting, even when I get the outcome wrong I still make money, when else can you say that!

We have now broken the 3 figure profit mark, quite a landmark I think and the best news of all is that we have barely started.

Total profit: £108.14

The sun is out and the profits are rolling in, boy I love the summertime!

Let me bring you right uptodate with the events since I last posted.

With the Betfair balance back up a bit after the last cashout I decided I liked the look at the big £50 bonus at Betfred so we made this our next one and used the England U21 v Germany U21 match. Conspiracy theories had been abound about this before the game with England already through and Germany needing a point to eliminate Spain. You only need to look at the price 2.10 for a draw before kick off to see everyone thought this but it did make for lower liabilities, as you need to wager at 2.0 or above at Betfred to get the free bet, so it was worth a shot to me.

The bets were:

Back Draw with £50 at 2.10 at Betfred

Lay Draw with £46.67 at 2.30 at Betfair. This cost £60.67 to cover the lay at Betfair.

This was a loss of £5.67 to secure the free £50 bet, the only downside is I need more funds in Betfair to cash it out and this was compounded when the game ended a draw.

Fortunately the cash was back from BetInternet and Stan James so I topped up Betfair and was good to go again for tomorrow.

Total Profit £64.92

Another weekend and another bookmaker done and dusted.

This time we collected at BetInternet. A nice and easy bet £50 get a free £25 offer.

The odds were far from good here but then again free money is free money and will pulled over £11 net profit from just 2 bets so have now broken the £70 mark, nice!

Drogheda v St Patricks

Back Drogheda with £50 at 2.75
Lay Drogheda with £47.91 at 2.92. This cost £91.99 to cover the lay at Betfair.

It cost us £4.49 for the free bet which we went all Brazilian on….

Flamengo v Internacional

Back Draw at Betinternet with the free £25 at 3.20
Lay Draw at Betfair with 16.67 at odds of 3.35. This cost £39.17 to cover.

A profit of 15.83 bringing our profit from the first six offers to £70.59 and we have only seen the tip of this very large iceberg, onto the next one then!

Well my first set back, if you can call it that. Having decided that there was no way Egypt could beat the World Champions Italy, I placed my free £25 bet from Stan James on them guess what…1-0 to the Pyramid Boys.

Bet Details:

Back Egypt at Stan James at odds of 5.50 with the free £25 bet
Lay Egypt at Betfair at odds of 6.00 with £18.91 for a liability of £94.54

This gave me a very nice £17.56 risk free positive and we have smashed the £50 profit barrier!!

Naturally this result has no affect my profits, just that to me it seems preferable to get the cash over in to Betfair as the bigger the float I have in there the more offers I can do as I can always afford the liabilities. No problem as this is a marathon not a sprint.

So last night’s events have relieved my Betfair account of £94.54 which will made slow me down until I can top back up once the funds arrive back from SJ.

Current I only have £100 in Betfair, however still plenty to crack on with, so onto the next one on my list just to keep the profits ticking upwards, back later!

Total Profit: £59.25

Ah cash out time, my favourite bit. The £10 free bet token has been credited to my Mcbookie account so off to Oddsmatcher it is. Darren told me that whilst McBookie is not listed it is actually a sister site of Jenningsbet so selecting that gave me all the odds I needed and I plummed for this one.

Back the draw in the South Africa v New Zealand game at odds of 5.50 with the free £10
Lay it on Betfair with £7.69 at odds of 5.90. The liability was £37.68 and this added another £7.31 risk free profit to the pot.

Time for another then, the £25 free bet at Stan James looks good and we found this one over in Uruguay.

As luck would have it, 2 of my favourite Uruguayan teams, Nacional (Uru) v Palmeira, were playing !! No you are right, I have never heard of them, maybe Oddsmatcher should become part of the National Curriculum in all schools as it would certainly help today’s kids with their Maths and Geography!

Anyway the bet was:

Back Palmeiras with £25 at 2.88 at Stan James
Lay Palmeriras with £24.74 at 2.96 at Berfair, using £48.49 from the account and securing the next £25 freebie for a £1.50 loss.

So where are we now, £41.29 up overall and a free £25 bet to come.

We should break the £50 barrier tomorrow from just our first 5 bookmakers, not bad for a beginner.

Total Profit: £41.29

Both bets from yesterday have settled and both lost so my Betfair balance is on the rise.

I emailed McBookie to to claim the free £10 and my free £25 bet was sat in Totesport so this looked a good one in the Sweden U21 v Belarus U21 game.

Back Draw at 3.50 with the free £25.00 at Totesport
Lay Draw at 3.80 with £16.67 on Betfair.  The liability was £46.68 so we had plenty to spare in Betfair and we have made another £15.83 profit!

No sign of the free bet from north of the border yet so that will have to wait for tomorrow but we have smashed the £35 profit barrier and only cashed out 3 bets!

Total Profit: £35.48

No time for me to do anything PC wise at the weekend so I was back onto the money making trail.

A quick email to Darren and he suggested McBookie (free £10) and Totesport (free £25) next, so off to Oddsmatcher then….

Spain U21 v Germany U21

Back Germany at 3.20 for £10 at McBookie
Lay Germany at 3.35 with £9.70.  £22.800 tied up in Betfair and just a 79p loss for the free £10.

You do need to email these guys after the bet has settled so that is from McBookie today then.

So straight onto Totesport and more unknown teams!

Start v Molde

Back Start at 2.30 with £25
Lay Start at 2.38 with £24.68 on Betfair.  Liability £34.04 and the free £25 for a loss of £1.56.

If you like a losing day today as I am £2.35 down but when you think about it I have £35 in free bets to come, so in effect I have bought £35 in bets for £2.35, seems like a bargain to me!

Total Profit: £19.65

Time to cash out at Paddypower. Some great team names I have never heard of coming up in Oddsmatcher, but it is the profit figure I am interested in so the teams don’t matter!

This match was Kolding FC v Lyngby in the Danish First Division.

Back Draw at 3.40 with the free £25.00 at Paddypower
Lay Draw at 3.85 on Betfair with £15.79. The liability on Betfair for this bet was £45.00, and netting me £15 profit in the process.

Out for the night but back home to check the results, not that it effects the profit, but so I know when the cash has ended up, no draw so an extra £15 in Betfair, hurrah!

So day 2 of the challenge and already £22 up, I like, I like!

Total Profit: £22.00
