FALSE FAVOURITES

Laying is a very tough nut to crack as the total void of decent laying services I have found so far will testify. False Favourites is aiming to change all this and is an e-book written by a Betfair accredited trainer who offers you the knowledge needed to win money laying. Jonathan Burgess is the author and all the evidence points to the fact he is recognised by Betfair as someone who is authorised to train others about betting.

The False Favourites website aims to cut through all the usual BS that we come across each day promising you a world of easy money available through betting. Specifically their message is that using the right knowledge and statistics you can make an EDGE betting. In my humble opinion that’s what winning betting is about – getting an edge. The profit is the cherry on the cake, the rest of the ingredients are all hard work, hard work and more hard work. Betting is never about backing big priced winners every day, it’s about that 10 to 20% edge. The great thing is that False Favourites is as cheap as chips and available for 20 quid (now £27.99) and actually offers amazing value for money as I will go on to explain.

THE EBOOK

If you are like me and used to the nonsense that people such as Stephen Brookes regularly peddle then you will expect perhaps a 20 page PDF fleshed out with pages on how to use Betfair and all written in big text. False Favourites bucks that trend and the PDF is a mammoth 216 pages!

216 pages including lots fantastic detail about the strategy with lots of screen grabs, examples and descriptions on all you need to know about laying favourites to make a profit. The PDF is not particularly difficult to read and understand but there is a lot to take in, so its worth taking time to sit down and really absorb what is being shared with you. It may also be worth printing it out so you can sit down with it and really get to grips with it. I have done exactly this so I can closely run through it.

The e-book is split into 3 separate sections, laying the favourite in flat racing, laying the favourite in national hunt racing and a 17 page detail on how to avoid the 10 deadly mistakes 95% of all punters make.Whatever the time of year and the type of racing that’s most prevalent at that time, False Favourites can help you identify the lays you should take on.

The e-book goes through every aspect of identifying what constitutes a weak favourites by analysing each race and horse in real depth. This can be done using a free resource such as the racing post website and Jonathan guides through how to use this to your advantage. He explains areas of race analysis such as the postdata table, understanding raceform and how to examine a horse’s previous race history.

Jonathan also discusses the structure of both flat and national hunt racing, explaining what all the different types of races are, who they suit, traits to look out for and so on. He also adds in all the other variables such as course, distance, going, weight, fitness, form, recent positions, trainers, runners, age, behaviour, jockey and price. What’s particularly useful is the printout table that helps you to combine all this information into one easy to fill in card that will make things a heck of a lot clearer. Print this off and use it on each race that qualifies and you can see at a glance how the race shapes up. Whether or not you go and take the lay on, its great race analysis and you can use it to perhaps seek out other angles that may make you a profit.

There are also a number of walk-throughs using real-life examples of races and how you should have analysed them if using the system. This is vitally important so you can check what you are doing is correct.

EXCELLENT PURCHASE & RESULTS

It’s not like me to get excited about a system, even more so when it refers to laying but I tell you False Favourites blows its competition out the water. Whether you want to lay favourites or not, the e-book will teach you a whole host of new things about betting and race analysis itself. The fact its only 20 quid really sums up this product in that its great value complete with great analysis.

I cannot speak for the system itself that Jonathan ultimately advocates and its progress as this has not been proofed but Jonathan is keeping a record of all the lays generated by the e-book.

The only problem being they are being calculated at SP with no commission being deducted so you have to be aware of this fact. This will have an impact upon the overall total return but still a profit is being eked. This is the only downside for me regarding the product, if there was extra proofing or evidence to backup the actual system and at realistic odds then it would be unbeatable. However I really enjoyed this e-book and with 216 pages of quality teaching, research, examples and analysis it’s just what the doctor ordered. Well worth splashing out 20 quid on if you are yet to do so
