Matchbook To Become A Racing Authorised Betting Partner

Following the launch of horse racing markets on it’s betting exchange, Matchbook has announced it has signed up to become an Authorised Betting Partner (ABP) of British Horse Racing.

Matchbook CEO Mark Brosnan, said; “It’s important to us, and our customers, that every horseracing bet with Matchbook contributes to the future growth of British Horse Racing. Launching our horseracing product as an Authorised Betting Partner is just one of the ways we can demonstrate our commitment to the sport. As the fresh new face on the horseracing betting circuit, we aim to impress upon bettors and partners alike that Matchbook is different. As an exchange, we win when our customers win, which is why we provide the tools bettors’ need to make smarter informed bets. When our customers win, we win and now British Horse Racing will win too.”

This is a huge step in the right direction as the industry has been crying out for a serious and committed alternative to Betfair that is going to take the whole betting exchange model and especially UK and Irish Horse Racing seriously.

The announcement follows the news it will be the official betting partner of the first three days of the Qatar Goodwood Festival.

Alex Eade, general manager of Goodwood Racecourse, said: “We are delighted by the decision of Matchbook to sign up to become an ABP in support of British racing. It demonstrates their commitment to the sport and willingness to ensure bookmakers give racing a fair deal. As our bookmaking partner for the first three days of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, we are very excited about this development and look forward to working with them in the future.”
