Here’s an example of matching with Back Odds of 3 and Lay Odds of 3.5 giving £27.54 profit

Now an example of matching with Back Odds of 6 and Lay Odds of 7 giving £34.17 profit

So even though the higher back / lay odds are not as close together, the overall profit is more. However you will need more money in your betting exchange account to cover the increased liability of laying at higher odds.

These examples show the profit equalised across all outcome but of course you can weight the balance of the bet anyway you like if you favour a particular selection, it really doesn’t matter as either way this is all free money!

Step One: Pre match qualifying bet….

Here’s a quick and easy method to qualify for this offer with a simple, pre match back/lay of Barca.

LAY Barcelona at Betfair with £49.54 at 2.22 (you will need £60.44 in your Betfair account to cover the liability of this lay bet)

This will give a fixed loss of £2.94 whatever the outcome of the game but will qualify for the free £50 inplay offer

Step Two: In play bet….

Obviously we cannot show the inplay odds in advance as nobody knows exactly what they will be (if I did I would not be here typing this that is for sure!) but if we look at a couple of scenarios using the prices we can see at the moment.

One option would be to jump on straight after kick off as the prices will be virtually the same as they were pre KO unless we get a super quick goal. So in this instance we could just….

BACK the Draw at Bet365 with £50 at 3.60

LAY the Draw at Betfair with £35.14 at 3.75 (you will need £96.62 in your Betfair account to cover the liability of this lay bet)

This is how it would look in the spreadsheet

Outcomes

If it is a Draw (after 90 mins). You will win £130 at Bet365 and lose £96.62 at Betfair for a £33.38 profit. So less the £2.94 loss from the qualifying bet gives a net profit of £30.44

If it is not a Draw. Then we will lose our £50 at Bet365 and win £33.38 (after 5% commission) at Betfair. So we will be £16.62 down but we will then be refunded our £50 stake by Bet365 so will have a £33.38 profit.

So again, less the £2.94 loss for the qualifying bet gives a net profit of £30.44

Of course the big danger here is that there is a goal between getting the back and lay bets accepted to change the odds or the odds change anyway at one of the sites and you need to recalculate.

So you may prefer to wait for a natural break in play, stoppage, injury etc.. or better still until halftime when there is no action at all to effect the prices. Again we have no idea what these will be but the important thing is to look for close odds and at half time you will have more time to look for higher odds markets so you can maximise the profit in this offer. But a free £30+ risk free profit isn’t bad for a few minutes clicking using the example above is it?
