A real weekend of two halves…..

Ah Cup Final day. I still remember the Golden Era of Cup Final Telly. World of Sport v Grandstand, 5 or 6 hours of coverage, celebrities, quizzes, on the coaches with the players, special editions of mastermind, it’s a knock out and question of sport. It was a very special day for any fan. Now we take live footy and all the extras for granted so I was relying on the bookies to recreate the magic of the cup for me.

And needless to say we picked up a few nuggets….

£3.54 profit at Blue Square thanks to a free fiver in the Daily Star
BOGOF’s at William Hill and Ladbrokes again which converted into £5.32 and £6.13 respectively.
Also cashed out the free £20 over at Sportingbet for £15.72 overall profit
Next I gained an extra tenner from Betfair for placing 5 or more cup final bets, I just combined these with my regular activity so that was the easiest £10 I ever made!

Had planned to do one of Paddypower “Happy 10th” offers as they had a massive price on a Hat-Trick to be scored in the Final, however they offered me a max bet of 42p – cheers Paddy. However I did a quick trading scalp of the market on Betfair and gained an extra £4, so happy to include that, who needs Paddy anyway!

This took us to Sunday and the day of the run so nothing doing for me today of course as I was fit for nothing!

But I do want to have a closing amount. So I have £50 to cash out from Mrs Bet72’s free £50 at Eurosport, not yet credited so let’s say £8.70 to get the bets on and I estimate a £40 return so I will chuck another £32 into the pot to make up the final total, seems fair enough to me.

The run itself was a fantastic event. 36,000 bodies, all shapes and sizes, a very uplifting and humbling experience at the same time, seeing people running for very personal reasons each with their own story to tell. That was the high point for me (and seeing the finishing line of course). The low point was being overtaken by a banana at the 3K mark! However I pulled it together and thanks to some fantastic support from all the crowds along the way I made it home in 56:50 (mins/secs not hours/mins) which is not bad as I have only been training again for just over a month. And more importantly we raised a decent sum for Rainbow Trust.

10k

I am certainly up for more and if we can get the same support from all the bet72ers then we could even eclipse this times total, many, many, many thanks everyone. And of course another thank you to 888Sport and their £500 in free bets, a truly wonderful gesture.

So there we have it, what a month and an outstanding total even if I say so myself and all for a wonderful cause. We will keep the donation page up for a little longer so if anyone wants to donate then feel free.

Also this blogging exercise has inspired me to do more and I will carry on and show people just what they can achieve doing existing user offers. In fact I will be doing a extra special interactive version for the WorldCup where we can help everyone make £1K risk free over the course of the tournament so really looking forward to that.

So if you want to be part of that then get signed up at the bet72 membership site, www.betseventytwo.com and we will guide you every step of the way.

So here are the final scores on the doors……drum roll please……

In case you haven’t a clue what all this is about…..read my previous ramblings below…..

Not long until 16th May now, c’mon everyone one last rallying cry for sponsors!!! Haven’t got a clue what I am talking about then read on…….

Well the head coach for Team GB has been on the phone and they are a little short of finely tuned athletes for 2012 so I have grabbed the trainers from their mothballs and am back in training.  When your country needs you and all that……

I have slotted into the new regime instantly, jogging to the pub and kebab shop at least twice a week so I am feeling the benefits already and my first event will be the Manchester 10K on 16th May.

This time around I have teamed up with another fantastic charity, the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and I really want to smash last year’s total, what the hell let’s go for the full £1K !

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow Trust’s Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide practical support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Plus to help boost the bank, I am doing a “risk free betting challenge”.  Starting on 13th April right up until race day, every penny I make from doing my own personal offers will be added to the pot.  You can follow this, right here where I will be blogging my bets and recording the profits I make.

The slowdown continues, must be all saving themselves for Cup Final weekend. To be honest I am a little embarrassed but today’s total and even though I was outr for most of the day I nearly jumped on a couple of casino offers in the evening but they were barely +EV and I could have done damage to the total. It is always important to be disciplined and stick to the script, not just do something for the sake of it. Plenty more £’s to come before the fat lady sings on our fund raising I am sure.

Back for more Twenty20 madness on Will Hill today, £3.13 secured this time so better than yesterday but not a pleasureable experience that is for sure.

I wasn’t around in the afternoon for the Betfred offer but the conditions has changed and not sure I missed much anyway however a random freebie from an unlikely source and I managed to get it on before I was out.
Sportingbet and a free bet on Saturday for placing a bet at York on Friday. Prices are good here so the £20 qualifier was placed for only a £1.26 loss.

Things have certainly slowed down this week but in a way that is good to still be able to demostrate that even if things look bleak we can still keep the £’s coming in. £10 here, £15 there risk free and for literally a few minutes work is not to be sniffed at, so I ain’t sniffing. And again you always know there will be some sort of offer everyday to have a bash at so this really is a residual income.

Ladbrokes are in a giving mood of late and their free £10 bet at York was very welcome as always.
Placing the bet right at the off I even managed to catch a sneaky arb and made £8.25 overall even after the £20 qualifier!

Today’s BOGOF over at Billy Hills was a bit more of a struggle. Engalnd v Sri Lanka in the World Twenty20 Semi sure the £20 on the result of the outcome was easy enough but 5 x £1 inplay free bets on a slow site with a terrible interface was hard work to say the least. £2.72 added to the pot and I will be back on the second semi tomorrow, I am a little sad like that!

Betfred had his cashback at York again. Trouble was the refund geegee was 15 to lay on Betfair, however I got the full £200 on and managed to squeeze £4.76 profit for the pot, not in the league of some of the other ones but any keeps us ticking over.

They you go what did I say, panic over and here come the offers again!

First up the regular BOGOFs not only from William Hill and our new regular source Ladbrokes, all sorted on the Atletico Madrid / Fulham game for £6.32 and £5.89 respectively. Also got a No Draw offer from Bet24 and managed a tasty £1.53 from that, hurrah!

Away from the footy, Fred is back with his horsie refund offers for the York meeting, £22.50 locked in on the first race of the day will do very nicely and this is back tomorrow too!

Mrs Bet72 also has an email offer from Eurosportbet for another free £50 so will be picking that off over the day or too so we can add the funds to the pot before the big race, very generous of her!

Not a bad total seeing as I was out virtually all day but let’s step this final effort up as I really want to hit the personal £1500 mark before the race and of course nothing stopping bet72er’s adding to the pot too of course.

Yes another quiet day offers wise, don’t panic people this is just the lull before the World Cup storm!

Just a couple for me today, managed to lock-in a whopping £3.10 profit from the VCBet Forest / Blackpool refund offer and secure a free fiver from Totesport on one of Wednesday games thanks to a no loss qualifying bet.

I could have spent more time finding other offers but still plenty of pre World Cup work to be done in the background and the purpose of this diary is to show how much you can realistically make just doing the basic offers out there so no point throwing some obscure and complex offers into the mix. We all know tomorrow is another money making day!

Another quiet day offers wise, had stacks of techie work to do on the site so had to focus on that more as we need everything 110% ready for the World Cup.

That said I did cash out the Ladbrokes Bonus by wagering it on a couple of other offers. Slots have not been kind to me this month really and the increase wagering at Ladbrokes does make them less profitable than before so I only really get involved when I am at a loose end. Suffice to say I basically lost the £25 bonus wagering for a couple “Test of Strength” bonuses which turned out to be 5 free spins = £0 and £5 in chips and ended up with £3.50 from all that, wow!

Should be a big weekend of profits with plenty going on.

We naturally have the BOGOFs at Willam Hill and Labrokes, always our first port of call.

Also double bet offer from bet24 and need to have a bash at the NordicBet €30 offer too, keep forgetting that one.
TowerGaming are back with another cashback offer, I am sure this will get a mixed response from some people but they seem to be getting their act together so I am having a little look.

Beat Victor, Blue Square Fair, Sportingbet Beat Bully and Square and Betfair Football Multiples are also on the list, as is my cashing out at Ladbrokes on the casino front. So plenty to keep us all busy, love it!

Update:

Well we added a few quid over the pot over the weekend. Funny really I always seem to do better during the week. Think it is because there are less distractions and I seem to get a clear run at the offers but hey this is all free money so I will not complain….

WH BOGOF netted £5.67 and Ladbrokes £5.82
Picked up a whopping £2.72 from the Bet24 multiples offer too

That was about that, was oit and about for most of the rest of the weekend. All work and no play is a bad thing so was rude not too.

Another day dominated by a bookmaker with slightly less hair than I have. Yes we finally had confirmation that the Chester Races refund offer at Betfred was actually £200 per person per race and not £200 overall.

I feel slightly aggrieved that I have only just had this confirmed in writing as we could have taken a few more £’s for the pot on Thursday but with any ambiguous T&C’s always, always, always air on the side of caution until you have it confirmed and clear in your mind else walk away.

Never mind it is all free money, so there was only one thing to do….results below!

Elsewhere I dived into the Thunderstruck II promo over at Ladbrokes, wagering my £25 on their new slot for £3 profit with a £25 bonus to come and in the process have chipped away at some of my wagering requirement on my 3 card poker bonus, so all good.

That was about it for the day, apart for trying to sweet talk a few more bookmakers to follow the lead at 888Sport and help boost the donation funds. Even if they don’t I am well on the way to over £1500 personally I would say judging by the offers coming down the line so that is fantastic so c’mon guys and gals if this blog (or indeed the site) has made you a few extra pennies please consider a donation. Can we get to £2K!!

Daily result (from the Betfred Offer)

13:45 – No Bet
14:15 – +£6.38
14:45 – +£27.05
15:15 – +£14.12
15:55 – No Bet (Stall One – 130 to lay on Betfair last time I looked!)
16:30 – +£24.22
17:05 – +£5.87

Total = £77.64

Plus cashed the £200 freebie out for £165.55 so certainly had worse days!

Ah Election Day, all well and good but we have risk free profits to be made so plenty of time for that later in the day.

Woah a fantastic day mainly thanks to 888Sport and their remarkable offer of £500 in free bets for me to play with.
It was really win-win for everyone as I picked 5 losing horses and got £404.67 over into Betfair as a result, thank you again 888Sport. This has now pushed me over the £1K mark and still 9 days to go!!

On the other offers I got back on the Betfred offer too. Nothing doing in the 1st and a stall one winner in race 2 meant I was done for the day thanks to some rather ambiguous T&C’s concerning whether the £200 refund was per race or duration of the offer. I decided to hold fire until I have something in writing, always the best idea. So I am £145 down with a free £200 bet to come so that should be a min. of £15 up once Freddy credits it.

Have a few Ladbrokes casino offers to pick off too so made a start with their 3 Card Poker promo, £11 up after wagering with £20 bonus to come so will use the bonus for wagering on the next offer or might even try and double that up and forfeit it as I am up already.

There was a risk free fiver over at William Hill Vegas and a tenner in their casino to mark Election day so rude not to try and double that up. Failed on the fiver but doubled the tenner so £10 up!

Daily result:

Betfred Chester Races Refund Offer: -£145.12 (but £200 free bet to come)
888Sport Free £500: £404.67
Ladbrokes 3 Card Poker : £11
Will Hill Casino : £10

Bookmakers generally get a bad press, and some would say rightly so but every so often something happens to restore your faith and it is only right that we redress the balance and give credit where it is due

When 888Sport said they wanted to help our ongoing fundraising effort, we thought it would be an basic donation via the usual means (here) but oh no they wanted to help big, £500 big!

Yes they popped 5 x £100 free bets into our online account for us to use as we wished and donate the profits to our Manchester 10K appeal for Rainbow Trust.

Naturally there was only one way to deal with this, the bet72 risk free way and we duly matched each of the 5 freebies on selected horses on Thursday afternoon, laying off on Betfair. 5 races, 5 losers, £404.67 (after commission) in risk free profit in our Betfair account, wow. The money is winging it’s way back from Betfair as we type and will be paid in as soon as it hits!

A massive thank you to Roy and all the people over at 888Sport for this extraordinary act of generosity and suffice it to say if you are looking for someone to have a wager then look no further than 888Sport as naturally these folk get a massive thumbs up from bet72.

Hey you can pick up, upto £50 in free bets by opening a new account.

Naturally we have 888Sport in Oddsmatcher so that free £50 sign up offer is all nice and easy and risk free too!

Open an account with 888sport and place a bet of at least £15 and 888sport will then credit your 888sport account with a £15 free bet token.

Place a further 9 bets of at least £15 each, and you will qualify for a second ‘bet bonus’ free bet token of £15.

Place a further 5 bets of at least £15 each, and you will qualify for a yet another ‘bet bonus’ free bet token of £20. Only bets of at least £15 each will count towards your next free bet (bets of a lower value do not affect your entitlement to the offer).
