More Cup Final Nuggets

Another “crystal ball” trade from The Nugget Crew, this time on the FA Cup Final.

Hands off trading in every sense of the word, as I didn’t have to do a thing apart from keep an eye on the game. So it was setup the markets, watch the game and draw the profits, brilliant.

For this game we were using a brand new strategy that the boys have been working on for matches with red hot favourites, where they may well score 4 or more but NOT concede more than 1.

Their pre-match analysis gave us this….

Speculation

Little bit wary of the Wembley pitch and it might not be the landslide victory many believe it will be. Sure Chelsea be happy with a comfortable 2-0 victory.

The strategy we are using has 2 scoreline risks, the 2-2 and 3-1. The 3-1 to an extent we can cover and if we manage to get to that scoreline we can add to it if necessary to limit losses. With the form Chelsea are in it is hard to see Pompey scoring 1 let alone 2. All other scores are covered via AUQ and a LAY of under 3.5. We’re almost arbing the 2 markets with cover on 3-1 to make a small profit whatever the outcome. This is a strategy I often use when there is a strong favourite which tends to limit the markets you can use.

And so to the trade itself

BACK AUQ £58
BACK 3-1 £6
LAY OVER 3.5 £82

As stated above 2-2 and 3-1 are our dangers. 2-2 is unlikely. We are looking to make between £15 and £20 here in what hopefully will be a nice smooth trade on any other scorelines! We can very much leave this alone and possibly add to the 3-1 if the odds drift out although it will eat into our £15 to £20 profit.
Beauty of this is that in the unlikelyhood of the dog scoring 2 away to one of the big boys we have the option of backing the 3-2, 2-2 at big odds as cover if necessary.

And once again it worked out as planned, £15 profit (after commission and even time for a couple of cold ones during the match too!).

Yes The Nugget Crew are warming up very nicely for the World Cup thank you very much.

In working with The Nugget Crew, we have two of the leading professional football traders at our disposal so we all have the opportunity to develop and nurture some very profitable football trading strategies together.

These boys are well known to our members of the bet72 membership site and have provided some invaluable content, free trading strategy guide book, many videos and live webinars over the last few weeks.

They have demonstrated the importance of determining a strategy that fits the criteria of a selected match, is adaptable when the game is “in-play” and has various exit points for closing both a winning and possible losing trade. Correct Score markets, Match Odds and Under/Over 2.5 goal markets are the most popular markets as evidenced by the amount of liquidity available. But they show how trading different markets in the same match can produce dividends. It’s a balancing act that requires knowledge of the movements of odds in markets that are mutually linked to each other. These boys really show what can be done by with a little out of the box thinking.

If you want a little flavour of the Nugget Boys, they have kindly allowed us to show one of their videos from their Nugget Collection below, really does make you think what can be done. And with World Cup year almost upon us, plus live football of some sort on virtually every single day of the week, getting some niche trading strategies in your toolbox could be a very profitable weapon to have, I have been picking up plenty of green screens lately that is for sure.

Beware of The Warnock

February 15, 2010 by Darren Hall

Love him or hate him you cannot deny Neil Warnock’s passion for his clubs especially when in concerns the officials.

Following Sunday’s FA Cup 5th round tie with Aston Villa, Neil Warnock says assistant referee Trevor Massey should be suspended “for a long time” after their FA Cup draw with Aston Villa.

And it wasn’t just the dodgy corner decision that had Mr W going, here he is letting rip during the game…….

All that fans, managers and indeed players want is high standards and consistency so we are with you on this one Neil, the professional game needs to be officiated professionally at all times.

Television replays showed the official wrongly awarded a corner that led to Villa’s late equaliser in the 2-2 draw.

“Their second goal is a disgrace,” said Warnock. “We gave everything and in the end we were let down by incompetence.

“I’ve been told that if Mr Massey got it wrong, he’ll be suspended. I hope he is and I hope it’s for a long time.”

Warnock’s cash-strapped Championship side, who are in administration, led 2-1 with three minutes remaining, thanks to a stunning free-kick by Darren Ambrose.

But referee Kevin Friend - on the say-so of Massey - incorrectly awarded the Premier League outfit a corner after the ball had hit Nathan Delfouneso, although the incident occurred at high speed with the referee outside the penalty area.

From the resulting corner, Stiliyan Petrov headed home a dramatic equaliser to take the tie to a replay at Villa Park on Wednesday 24 February and Warnock could not hide his disgust.

“A referee and a linesman should see from that position it is a goalkick and not a corner,” added the Palace manager. “It’s disappointing and it’s hard not to feel bitter about it.

“I spoke to Massey afterwards and he said he saw it come off Alan Lee’s head, so he’s obviously a miracle man because it’s clearly come off Delfouneso’s head.

“He didn’t apologise, he only said he’ll take a look at it when he gets home. That’ll really help me and Crystal Palace won’t it?

“The referee had a great game. He was let down by somebody who had a very poor game and I don’t feel any sympathy if he is suspended. I said to him: ‘When you’re sat on your settee when you’re suspended will you think about us?’

“I don’t want to say any more because they’re probably listening at the disciplinary committee and I don’t want it to cost me any more money.”
