A Risk Free Semi

Another chance to crack open the Refund Spreadsheet again this weekend, as after the locked in profits on the Manchester Derby on Monday we have some more opportunities, this time centred around the Chelsea v Man City FA Cup Semi Final on Sunday.

A very quick post as we have been asked to summarise how to lock in a guaranteed profit on the Betfair fixed odds cashback offer on the Manchester derby tonight.

Place a Sportsbook bet on Chelsea v Man City before kick off (ITV, 16:00 Sun).

Your bet must be on First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer or Correct Score.

If Man City beat Chelsea (90mins) and the first bet you place loses, we’ll refund your stake, up to £/€50!

Semi Refunds

Money back on losing bets in ALL markets up to £25, in the form of a free bet token if Manchester City beat Chelsea in 90 minutes in the FA Cup Semi Final: Chelsea v Manchester City on 14th April 2013.

Offer is available to new and existing online, phone, mobile and shop customers.
Offer applies to single bets only. Refund will not apply to any multiple bets.
Offer applies to losing bets on ALL markets of the FA Cup Semi Final: Chelsea v Manchester City on 14th April 2013. Offer applies to bets placed in 90 minutes, this includes injury time but not extra time or penalties.

Mobile Money Back

Place a bet on this weekends fa cup semi finals and if the match ends in a draw after 90mins, we’ll refund your stake (on selected markets) up to £/€50 as a free bet

The promotion only applies to mobile bets placed via m.188bet.com on English FA Cup Semi Final matches played between 13/04/13 & 14/04/1

Only single, losing bets on the following markets qualify for the free bet refund, 1×2, Correct Score, HT/FT and Winning Margin.

For the Betfair offer then the simplest way is to BACK and LAY an outcome in the Correct Score market where City cannot win and then LAY City in the regular 90 minute market to lock in some risk free profit.

For the 188bet offer then just BACK and LAY either team in the 1X2 market and then LAY the draw in the regular 90 minute market

And for Ladbrokes, well you can use ANY market you like, again remember to BACK and LAY an outcome where City cannot win and then LAY City in the regular 90 minute market

Or even combine the offers to give you some great pre match trading positions and take them in play.

There are so many options, brilliant!

So here’s an example from our ‘What…If….’ refund spreadsheet using the Betfair offer as an example…..

In the above example we…..

BACK 0-0 on Betfair fixed odds at 9.5 for £50

LAY 0-0 on Betdaq (exchange) at 13 for £36.68 (£440.16 to cover the liability)

Then LAY City on Betdaq (exchange) at 2.38 for £21.46

This guarantees a profit of at least £5.23 assuming a commission rate of 5%

So grab the sheet, enter the figures into the boxes based on the current odds and play around with the stakes until you are happy with the profit and the liabilities for each of the offers

Download the spreadsheet here

And here is a more detailed explanation of how these types of offers work

Paddypower: Make Mine A Text Double

February 15, 2013 by

Following on from the massive 5/2 text bet price boost on Man City at the weekend, we have just spotted another brilliant Paddypower text price boost on Skytext page 909.

This is for this week’s FA Cup ties…..

Everton v Oldham (26th Feb) – 5th Round Replay
Middlesbrough v Chelsea (27th Feb) – 5th Round

At the time of typing there was not a multiple FA Cup market on Betfair to lay the double off directly but as the games are on different nights then this the perfect option to cover each game in turn.

And as you might expect the Premiership teams are very short indeed so the liabilities on this one would be very low indeed (1.19 & 1.47 respectively)

For example you could have a risk free bet on Everton, covering the £20 stake at Paddypower on Everton tonight by laying them on Betfair and if they win (in 90 mins) then lock in a profit on Chelsea tomorrow night (just remember to take into account any losses on Everton from the first bet). If Everton don’t win in 90 mins then the double is dead but nothing is lost, so yu may want to increase the lay stake a little so you are guaranteed so profit whatever the outcome.

As always there are plenty of ways to play these types of offers.

If you need any examples or bets working out then just drop us a line at info@bet72.com anytime

This offer is available to anyone with a Paddypower account who has not placed a text bet before. So if you have an account, grab that phone, if not then click the banner below to get an account, get a free online bet and then take this great priced double too.

Here’s how….

To do this, login and add £20 into your online account and make sure you have a mobile number registered in your online account too

Then text ‘20 TELETEXT FA CUP‘ to 51465

Paddy will text back confirming your details and that is it. Just make sure your text from the number registered on your account.

and if you need one a Betfair account to make all risk free too, here you go….

2nd Chance GiantKilling

Last of the 3rd round games today, see Arsenal take on Leeds and whilst all the talk on the pitch is about a certain Mr Henry returning for the Gunners. The talk off the pitch has been about the fantastic “Giant Killer – Second Chance” offer
from LADBROKES

Not sure there is too much risk free wise in this tie but we nailed some profits over the weekend in the games involving Crawley, Swindon & Sheffield Wednesday so and very successful weekend all round.

Anyway the offer is still on for today and is certainly worth a look if you plan on trading the game.

Giant Killer – Second Chance
Back a team in the FA Cup 3rd round or Scottish Cup 4th round to beat higher league opposition and, if the game ends in a draw, your bet will stand in the replay!

Plenty of opportunities with this offer. You could look to BACK / LAY the underdog for the lowest possible loss and then LAY some on the DRAW to lock in some profit (knowing that you get a free bet on the underdog again if it goes to a replay).

Or maybe use this a good value punt. BACK / LAY the underdog for the lowest possible loss. Hoping to hit a few draws so you can cash out in the replay.

Or even BACK the underdog and use the position of having the insurance on the DRAW to enhance your trading position during the game.

Whatever you choose, it is a great offer.

So just find a close match up in odds between LADBROKES and your preferred betting exchange and you can turn this all into risk free profit. We even have an online calculator to help you work it all out (click here). Or get signed upto our Mailing list (in the right hand column) and get a free spreadsheet version for doing all the calculations for you.

And don’t forget if you haven’t used your mobile to bet with at Ladbrokes before you can collect 3 x free £10 bets for just a tenner! Look at this – Mobile Madness

Naturally you will be needing a Ladbrokes account too, ideal for all these little extras they keep chucking at us recently. So if you don’t have one you can grab a massive free £50 sign up bet too, all nice and easy as we have all the bets for this on Oddsmatcher.

More Cup Final Nuggets

May 19, 2010 by

Another “crystal ball” trade from The Nugget Crew, this time on the FA Cup Final.

Hands off trading in every sense of the word, as I didn’t have to do a thing apart from keep an eye on the game. So it was setup the markets, watch the game and draw the profits, brilliant.

For this game we were using a brand new strategy that the boys have been working on for matches with red hot favourites, where they may well score 4 or more but NOT concede more than 1.

Their pre-match analysis gave us this….

Speculation

Little bit wary of the Wembley pitch and it might not be the landslide victory many believe it will be. Sure Chelsea be happy with a comfortable 2-0 victory.

The strategy we are using has 2 scoreline risks, the 2-2 and 3-1. The 3-1 to an extent we can cover and if we manage to get to that scoreline we can add to it if necessary to limit losses. With the form Chelsea are in it is hard to see Pompey scoring 1 let alone 2. All other scores are covered via AUQ and a LAY of under 3.5. We’re almost arbing the 2 markets with cover on 3-1 to make a small profit whatever the outcome. This is a strategy I often use when there is a strong favourite which tends to limit the markets you can use.

And so to the trade itself

BACK AUQ £58
BACK 3-1 £6
LAY OVER 3.5 £82

As stated above 2-2 and 3-1 are our dangers. 2-2 is unlikely. We are looking to make between £15 and £20 here in what hopefully will be a nice smooth trade on any other scorelines! We can very much leave this alone and possibly add to the 3-1 if the odds drift out although it will eat into our £15 to £20 profit.
Beauty of this is that in the unlikelyhood of the dog scoring 2 away to one of the big boys we have the option of backing the 3-2, 2-2 at big odds as cover if necessary.

And once again it worked out as planned, £15 profit (after commission and even time for a couple of cold ones during the match too!).

Yes The Nugget Crew are warming up very nicely for the World Cup thank you very much.

In working with The Nugget Crew, we have two of the leading professional football traders at our disposal so we all have the opportunity to develop and nurture some very profitable football trading strategies together.

These boys are well known to our members of the bet72 membership site and have provided some invaluable content, free trading strategy guide book, many videos and live webinars over the last few weeks.

They have demonstrated the importance of determining a strategy that fits the criteria of a selected match, is adaptable when the game is “in-play” and has various exit points for closing both a winning and possible losing trade. Correct Score markets, Match Odds and Under/Over 2.5 goal markets are the most popular markets as evidenced by the amount of liquidity available. But they show how trading different markets in the same match can produce dividends. It’s a balancing act that requires knowledge of the movements of odds in markets that are mutually linked to each other. These boys really show what can be done by with a little out of the box thinking.

If you want a little flavour of the Nugget Boys, they have kindly allowed us to show one of their videos from their Nugget Collection below, really does make you think what can be done. And with World Cup year almost upon us, plus live football of some sort on virtually every single day of the week, getting some niche trading strategies in your toolbox could be a very profitable weapon to have, I have been picking up plenty of green screens lately that is for sure.

Beware of The Warnock

February 15, 2010 by

Love him or hate him you cannot deny Neil Warnock’s passion for his clubs especially when in concerns the officials.

Following Sunday’s FA Cup 5th round tie with Aston Villa, Neil Warnock says assistant referee Trevor Massey should be suspended “for a long time” after their FA Cup draw with Aston Villa.

And it wasn’t just the dodgy corner decision that had Mr W going, here he is letting rip during the game…….

All that fans, managers and indeed players want is high standards and consistency so we are with you on this one Neil, the professional game needs to be officiated professionally at all times.

Television replays showed the official wrongly awarded a corner that led to Villa’s late equaliser in the 2-2 draw.

“Their second goal is a disgrace,” said Warnock. “We gave everything and in the end we were let down by incompetence.

“I’ve been told that if Mr Massey got it wrong, he’ll be suspended. I hope he is and I hope it’s for a long time.”

Warnock’s cash-strapped Championship side, who are in administration, led 2-1 with three minutes remaining, thanks to a stunning free-kick by Darren Ambrose.

But referee Kevin Friend – on the say-so of Massey – incorrectly awarded the Premier League outfit a corner after the ball had hit Nathan Delfouneso, although the incident occurred at high speed with the referee outside the penalty area.

From the resulting corner, Stiliyan Petrov headed home a dramatic equaliser to take the tie to a replay at Villa Park on Wednesday 24 February and Warnock could not hide his disgust.

“A referee and a linesman should see from that position it is a goalkick and not a corner,” added the Palace manager. “It’s disappointing and it’s hard not to feel bitter about it.

“I spoke to Massey afterwards and he said he saw it come off Alan Lee’s head, so he’s obviously a miracle man because it’s clearly come off Delfouneso’s head.

“He didn’t apologise, he only said he’ll take a look at it when he gets home. That’ll really help me and Crystal Palace won’t it?

“The referee had a great game. He was let down by somebody who had a very poor game and I don’t feel any sympathy if he is suspended. I said to him: ‘When you’re sat on your settee when you’re suspended will you think about us?’

“I don’t want to say any more because they’re probably listening at the disciplinary committee and I don’t want it to cost me any more money.”
