A Risk Free Semi

Posted on April 1, 2013 by

Another chance to crack open the Refund Spreadsheet again this weekend, as after the locked in profits on the Manchester Derby on Monday we have some more opportunities, this time centred around the Chelsea v Man City FA Cup Semi Final on Sunday.

A very quick post as we have been asked to summarise how to lock in a guaranteed profit on the Betfair fixed odds cashback offer on the Manchester derby tonight.

Place a Sportsbook bet on Chelsea v Man City before kick off (ITV, 16:00 Sun).

Your bet must be on First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer or Correct Score.

If Man City beat Chelsea (90mins) and the first bet you place loses, we’ll refund your stake, up to £/€50!

Semi Refunds

Money back on losing bets in ALL markets up to £25, in the form of a free bet token if Manchester City beat Chelsea in 90 minutes in the FA Cup Semi Final: Chelsea v Manchester City on 14th April 2013.

Offer is available to new and existing online, phone, mobile and shop customers.
Offer applies to single bets only. Refund will not apply to any multiple bets.
Offer applies to losing bets on ALL markets of the FA Cup Semi Final: Chelsea v Manchester City on 14th April 2013. Offer applies to bets placed in 90 minutes, this includes injury time but not extra time or penalties.

Mobile Money Back

Place a bet on this weekends fa cup semi finals and if the match ends in a draw after 90mins, we’ll refund your stake (on selected markets) up to £/€50 as a free bet

The promotion only applies to mobile bets placed via m.188bet.com on English FA Cup Semi Final matches played between 13/04/13 & 14/04/1

Only single, losing bets on the following markets qualify for the free bet refund, 1×2, Correct Score, HT/FT and Winning Margin.

For the Betfair offer then the simplest way is to BACK and LAY an outcome in the Correct Score market where City cannot win and then LAY City in the regular 90 minute market to lock in some risk free profit.

For the 188bet offer then just BACK and LAY either team in the 1X2 market and then LAY the draw in the regular 90 minute market

And for Ladbrokes, well you can use ANY market you like, again remember to BACK and LAY an outcome where City cannot win and then LAY City in the regular 90 minute market

Or even combine the offers to give you some great pre match trading positions and take them in play.

There are so many options, brilliant!

So here’s an example from our ‘What…If….’ refund spreadsheet using the Betfair offer as an example…..

In the above example we…..

BACK 0-0 on Betfair fixed odds at 9.5 for £50

LAY 0-0 on Betdaq (exchange) at 13 for £36.68 (£440.16 to cover the liability)

Then LAY City on Betdaq (exchange) at 2.38 for £21.46

This guarantees a profit of at least £5.23 assuming a commission rate of 5%

So grab the sheet, enter the figures into the boxes based on the current odds and play around with the stakes until you are happy with the profit and the liabilities for each of the offers

Does the 188 offer apply to both semi finals. ie I did the Wigan one today but will I also be able to do the other one tomorrow?

Yeah can do both games as there was no draw today.

The maximum value of the refund is £/€50, per customer

Should be £’s all the way on the Chelsea v Man City game, love it!

With the betfair example, will the profit only be made if the refund offer triggers (man city win)? Or will a profit be made regardless.

Only on losing bets so that is why you need to make a selection where City can’t win ie Correct score for Chelsea or the draw & then lay City in the 90 mins market. That is why goal scorer bets are no good for this type of offer as your could lose on both sides of the bet if you see what I mean. I hope this helps
