Moneychester Derby

A very quick post as we have been asked to summarise how to lock in a guaranteed profit on the Betfair fixed odds cashback offer on the Manchester derby tonight.

Man Utd v Man City

GET CASHBACK IF MAN UTD BEAT MAN CITY!

IF SO, WE’LL REFUND YOUR LOSING FIRST GOALSCORER, LAST GOALSCORER OR CORRECT SCORE BET!

How to claim your Cashback

1 Opt in by clicking below and entering your username and password.
2 Place a pre-match First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer or Correct Score Fixed Odds bet.
3 If Man Utd beat Man City, we’ll refund losing stakes up to £/€50!

The simplest way is to BACK and LAY an outcome in the Correct Score market where United cannot win and then LAY United in the regular 90 minute to lock in some risk free profit.

So here’s an example from our ‘What…If….’ refund spreadsheet

In the above example we…..

BACK 1-1 on Betfair fixed odds at 6.5 for £50

LAY 1-1 on Betdaq (exchange) at 8.2 for £39.88 (£287.14 to cover the liability)

Then LAY United on Betdaq (exchange) at 2.5 for £20.41

This guarantees a profit of at least £7.24 assuming a commission rate of 5%

So grab the sheet, enter the figures into the boxes based on the current odds and play around with the stakes until you are happy with the profit and the liabilities.

Download the spreadsheet here

And here is a more detailed explanation of how these types of offers work

But it is not long until kick off so we thought a quick summary would be useful.

And of course you will be needing a couple of accounts to get you started….

Hi Darren. Can we use this for the Ladbrokes Man City cashback offer tomorrow ? How does it work when the free bet is SNR ? Do you have to do anything different ?

Update – i’ve just backed the draw with ladbrokes for £25 @ 3.1, layed it at BF for £22.42 @ 3.5, and layed City for £10.70 @ 2.38, giving an overall profit of £6.68/9.

Just adjust the value of the free bet to say 80-85% of it’s value rather than 100% you would get if it was straight cashback

As it is a free SNR bet (I would assume it has a value of say £20, conservative estimate) so you might want to back City with £2 now to totally equalise the profit
