Aintree Extra Places

Posted on April 5, 2014 by

Every loves a little extra.

So if you fancy a little bit more from your Grand National betting then why not take a look at some each way action as a number of the bookies are offering additional places on the big race, with upto 6 places being covered in some places!

So don’t forget to tell Auntie Doris that her annual 50p each way selection can finish in the first 6 and she will still get something back.

However the real value comes with these EXTRA places when you lay them off on the exchanges.

For example if you are laying to 4 places on the Exchange and the Bookmaker is paying 6 places & your selection comes 5th or 6th. Then you will be paid out on both sides!

Here is the current list of extra place bookies for the National….

Plus all these bookies are offering Non Runner No Bet too

And if you are looking to LAY these selections then it is all very simple. Just follow these steps treating it as 2 seperate bets

Your Selection is 10/1 (11) at Bookmaker and the bookie is offering 1/4 odds on 5 places

You stake £50 Each Way at the Bookmaker. That is £50 on the win @ 10/1 (11) & £50 on places 2nd-5th @ 3.50 (Odds in decimal MINUS 1 divided by 4 (1/4) & add 1) = ((10 * 0.25)+1)

So you can now LAY in the in WIN market in the normal way where the BACK price = 11 against your £50 & LAY in the PLACE market where your BACK price is 3.50 with £50

Plus there are a good selection of bookmakers offering 5 Places on the Topham Chase at Aintree 3:40PM on Friday
