No way to actually lock in some guaranteed profits but this does make the matches very good for trading and we will be playing around with a few scenarios to see what we can recommend for future offers.
One option could be to back the “money back team” then lay them in the Next Goal market for a small overall profit. If they then score first then back them in the match odds market for a profit, if not then you have made a profit anyway.

I dont see how this can win from your suggestion – if you back and lay the match odds and they score the back odd drop so how can you make a profit by backing the. SOrry if I am being thick here?

Basically because if the “money back” team scores first you now have the refund amount to play with as if they don’t go onto win the match you get the full refund from Ladbrokes so you can use a large portion of this to back them some more to cover them going onto win the game

So do you lay/back to equal loss in match odds?

Yes back/lay the selection for the minimum loss then lay in the next goal market enough to make a small profit. If they score first then you back to recover the loss plus make a small profit the other way. Really depends on the odds inplay but does give you some good leverage.

Tried it out on the celtic game – lost about £7 after red card and goal by celtic odds where not good. You win some you loose some

Yes red cards are generally bad news for trading like this. But we take it on the chin and move onto the next, as the Norwich / Arsenal game proved!
